Dear Friends,

As we welcome the New Year, I would like to extend my heartfelt wishes to you and your families for a joyful and peaceful year ahead. For us in Israel, the past year has been among the most challenging in our history. We continue to hold in our hearts the kidnapped who remain in captivity and the many residents who have yet to return to their homes in northern Israel. We also recognize the struggles many of you face in your communities, standing against rising anti-Semitism and hostility toward Jews and Israelis.

Your unwavering support has been a source of strength in these difficult times. The European solidarity delegations and your encouragement for our students have meant the world to us. Despite immense challenges, together with you, we have ensured that academic research continues and that students called to reserve duty could complete their studies successfully.

As we look to the future, we pray for the safe return of all kidnapped and for the winds of peace to blow across our land and the world again, enabling us to continue our mission of education and scientific advancement for Israel and humanity.

I wish you all a Happy New Year! Shana Tova!
